Birmingham, AL – The City of Birmingham has been selected to host the 5th Annual Crappie Expo, the largest annual expo dedicated to the sport of crappie fishing. The event is scheduled to take place from September 22-24, 2023 at the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex, bringing in more than 100 vendors and up to 25,000 fishing enthusiasts to the 3-day show.
The expo features the top industry leaders and manufacturers in the fishing industry, as well as seminars, boat companies, live music, and The World’s Largest Crappie Fry. This year’s Crappie Fry will be held on September 23, 2023, beginning at 11AM and lasting until the crappie is gone. The event is free to all Crappie Expo attendees.
In addition to the Crappie Expo, the event will be held in conjunction with the Mr. Crappie $300,000 Invitational Classic. The 2023 Classic will be held at Lincoln’s Landing on Logan Martin Lake, with anglers from all over the southern United States competing to win $100,000 for first place.
